Ducklings’ charity work – Spring 2017
We had a visit from the lifeboat team in Swanage to find out about how they help us and how we can keep ourselves safe at the seaside. We found out that the lifeboat is run by a group of volunteers and that they need to raise money to buy equipment. The Ducklings class decided to help to raise enough money to purchase 1 pair of all weather lifeboat gloves at the cost of £16 a pair. The children suggested that we bake biscuits and sell them for a donation. It was great fun baking and we managed to raise £35.29, enough for two pairs of gloves!
