Year 4 Multi-Sports Festival

Year 4 Multi-Sports Festival

A welcome return of the sunshine, meant that our second sporting event of the term, the Year 4 Multi- Sports Festival, was held outside in the sunshine.

The children were able to use the astro-turf for the afternoon, which is a perfect surface for the wide range of events, they took part in.

For many of the children this was their first opportunity to represent the school and it was rewarding to see so much enthusiasm, and although some of the pupils were initially nervous, all signs of this disappeared as the event progressed.

The festival is designed to develop children’s confidence, team building abilities and skills. They took part in agility relays, adapted netball, boules and a blindfold and hoop challenge.

The sports leaders from The Purbeck School were on hand to assist with all the activities.

Well done to our team, who worked hard in all the activities.

A special mention for Kian who was awarded our Sporting Star award for his cooperation and great netball skills.
