In Science we went on a tree search around the school grounds and identified the different types of trees that grow and how to identify them using the branches.

This term our topic has been The Titanic, we have really enjoyed learning about what life was like on the Titanic and the differences between 1st, 2nd and 3rd class passengers. We explored the different reasons that led to the 'unsinkable' Titanic sinking and the changes that have now been made as a result to ensure that this disaster would not e repeated again.

Have a look at our fantastic Titanic models that children created as their home learning project!

In DT we designed, made and tested our own self propelled boats

In RE we have been learning all about Judaism. We have learnt all about the Torah and the celebration Simchat Torah- this is when they have read to the end of the Torah and they have a celebration before starting to read the Torah all over again. We also learnt about key items inside the synagogue- the Jewish place of worship and we made our own Mezuzah's to go above a doorway.

In science we went to forest school and we looked at lots of different microhabitats. We then chose two micro habitats that we wanted to explore further, we then delved into the habitat and recorded using a tally chart which mini beats we discovered in each of the micro habitats. We even got to see some of the mini beats up close and personal under a magnifying glass!
