Platinum Sports Award
Fri 12 May 2023👏Well today really does need the title ‘FANTASTIC FRIDAY!’ 👏
We have proudly been awarded the Platinum School Games Award. This award was presented to Mrs Martin during assembly from Dan Moody - School Games Organiser.
Dan announced that we are the ONLY school in Purbeck to receive this award, and it’s for St Mark’s commitment and engagement to all the sports fixtures we attend.
Dan and our school also thanked Mrs Davies, as without her we wouldn’t have teams to attend the fixtures and her commitment to all the school sports clubs within our school… she really is fantastic!

St Mark’s Day Celebration
Sun 30 Apr 2023Today, some of our staff attended the St Mark’s Day Celebration Service at St Mark's, Herston
The service celebrated the St Mark’s community, St Mark’s School and past pupils.
Mr Johnson did a reading and then Marion Marchant (an ex Governor of our School) read out a beautiful prayer:
We pray for St Marks school, for all who have been a part of the School community in years past, and for the children, the teachers, support staff and the governors in the school today. Thank you for their enthusiasm commitment and hard work that makes St Marks school a good place to learn and open doors for the children in their journey of life. Thank you so much for a beautiful service.

Let’s talk about Reducing, Reusing and Recycling
Thu 30 Mar 2023Well, it’s been a busy last day of term. Today we had Dorset County Council in to talk about Recycling, Reusing and Reducing waste.
Food waste, textile recycling and Climate change were all talked about and how or what we can do to reduce our carbon footprint.
Then they went on to make fridge magnets to take home and stick on their fridge as a reminder not to waste food!
