    PAW 2024: 25 May – 9 June

    We are so excited to be a part of this years PAW! 
    Today, local Purbeck Youth Arstist, Sophie Jenkins came into school to work with our children. As part of the school workshops and Community Project, work got underway creating art for the exhibition. It’s all go and looks amazing! πŸŽ¨πŸ–ŒοΈ

  • Hive and Partners donate Easter Eggs to our PTA

    Our PTA were very egg- cited to be receiving some Easter eggs, donated from Colin James Cattermole from Hive & Partners. These will be wrapped up for our tombola at our Easter Fair tomorrow! 

    Let’s hope these Easter eggs are all they’ve cracked up to be and if you win you will need to eggs-ercise off all that chocolate. 🐣
    Sorry, we’ve got so many egg puns, it’s not even bunny! 🀣

  • Year 3 RE lesson

    Today our Year 3 class took their RE lesson to St Mark's, Herston church. 

    Our children asked lots of questions,listened and engaged so brilliantly with Rev David. 

    The class, got to play the church organ, sing ‘Be bold, be brave’ and even got to ring the church bells! πŸ””

  • Eggciting news!

    Our PTA have been overwhelmed with all the Eggceptional nominations. 

    Tomorrow (Friday), the winners will be announced in our Praise Assembly. 

    We have nominations saying “ she’s a great friend”, “ they always help me when I’m struggling” and “they are really good at being a sports leader”. Our PTA found it so hard to choose just three, so listen out tomorrow… it could be you!

    Thank you, The Swanage School for inviting us to Year 6 The Maths Challenge. It certainly, made our brains work and pull us together as a team, we loved it.

  • Year 4 Roman Trip

    What a super day, Year 4 had at The Dorset Museum in Dorchester.

     

    This trip brought together everything that has been taught in class about The Romans to life! Our keen historians, became Archaeologists, detectives and even got the chance to dress up!

     
    The final part of the trip, was to visit the remains of The Roman Town House which sits in the grounds of County Hall in Dorchester.

  • Easter Service 2024

    Dear Parents and Carers,

    We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to our Easter service at St Mark’s Church on Monday 25th March at 1:30pm for EYFS/KS1 and Tuesday 26th March at 1:30pm for KS2. We will return to school by the end of the day where you can collect your child as usual.

     

    Easter is a special time of year for the children and this year, each class will perform a song or a poem, so we do hope you can join us in our celebrations.

     

    The Easter service will be led by Reverend Dave Richards, who will explain the meaning of Good Friday and Easter Sunday and The Resurrection.

    What a fantastic day we all had celebrating World Book Day. We loved how everyone dressed up, spoke about the characters they had come as and immersed themselves in the activities. 
    Thank you for your continued support and making today very special.

    Mrs Martin was our very own ‘Hungry Caterpillar’  As the Headteacher she knows that all St Marks children, like the little caterpillar, will grow up, unfold their wings and fly off into the future."
