  • National Trust Dog art work

    Fri 10 Feb 2023

We’ve been working with the National Trust this month to raise awareness about wildlife on our local heathlands. It’s breeding bird season between February until August and we hope to encourage dog walkers to please keep their dogs on a short lead during this time.

As a way to encourage good doggy behaviour, we’ve painted a large arty dog to show people the importance of allowing birds like Nightjars and reptiles like Sand Lizards to rest and nest in peace.

The Arty Dogs will be out over half term along Slepe and Soldiers Road (either road side or just inside paths off the roads), so do explore the Purbeck Heaths and see if you can find all nine!

  • St Mark’s Church Fundraising Quiz Night!

    Fri 10 Feb 2023

Well who knew quiz nights were so competitive, yet so much fun!  🧐

Thank you to St Mark's, Herston for organising a great fundraising evening, raising money for our school.

The evening raised £220, and an anonymous donor has matched this, so we will be receipt of a total of £440 !

This will get filtered back into our school to pay for extra activities for the children to enhance their learning. THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤️

Finally, well done to the ‘Stars of St Mark’s’ that attended the night and put their knowledge to the test and came 2nd! 👏👏
