    Thank you, The Swanage School for inviting us to Year 6 The Maths Challenge. It certainly, made our brains work and pull us together as a team, we loved it.

  • Year 4 Roman Trip

    What a super day, Year 4 had at The Dorset Museum in Dorchester.

     

    This trip brought together everything that has been taught in class about The Romans to life! Our keen historians, became Archaeologists, detectives and even got the chance to dress up!

     
    The final part of the trip, was to visit the remains of The Roman Town House which sits in the grounds of County Hall in Dorchester.

  • Easter Service 2024

    Dear Parents and Carers,

    We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to our Easter service at St Mark’s Church on Monday 25th March at 1:30pm for EYFS/KS1 and Tuesday 26th March at 1:30pm for KS2. We will return to school by the end of the day where you can collect your child as usual.

     

    Easter is a special time of year for the children and this year, each class will perform a song or a poem, so we do hope you can join us in our celebrations.

     

    The Easter service will be led by Reverend Dave Richards, who will explain the meaning of Good Friday and Easter Sunday and The Resurrection.

  • World Book Day 2024

    What a fantastic day we all had celebrating World Book Day. We loved how everyone dressed up, spoke about the characters they had come as and immersed themselves in the activities. 
    Thank you for your continued support and making today very special.

    Mrs Martin was our very own ‘Hungry Caterpillar’  As the Headteacher she knows that all St Marks children, like the little caterpillar, will grow up, unfold their wings and fly off into the future."

  • National Trust Trip to Studland

    On Tuesday, we had a brilliant Family trip out with the National Trust, this was supported by Jamie Lamb-Shine (Senior Visitor Experience Officer Studland).

     

    We headed out to the viewpoint initally to see across Poole Harbour and take in the amazing sites and extent of the National Trust land, Then off we went to Knoll Beach for a warming hot drink and a piece of cake! Finally, our trip took us too Shell Bay, where we explored the beach for remarkable shells. 

  • Inspire Reward Day

    Congratulations to Inspire Praise Group who earned 464 praise points last term! 
    So, what better way to end half term with a skateboarding (KS2) or Scootering (EYFS & KS1) session with Team Rubicon.  These fun sessions were engaging, safe, professional and ultimately fun!!

  • RNLI visit

    Our EYFS & Year 1 class were treated to a visit from Gavin Steeden - one of our hero’s and people who help us - from the RNLI. 
    This visit helped our children with their topic and got the opportunity to get hands on  all the equipment and ask LOTS of question’s.  
    Mrs Cooper got really involved, as she modelled the all weather crew kit!  ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • Chartwellโ€™s Bee Ready Competition

    Did you enter the Chartwells Bee Ready Competition?  Children were asked to design a 3D flower garden poster, showing what bees feast on when they come out of hibernation. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒท

    We were buzzing with all the entries and how much work had gone into them. Thank you to everyone who entered! 

    Today, we were informed of the winners and have been given the prizes. The winners are: Nicole and Tirana. 

  • MTC (Multiplication Tables Check) Information Session.

    Today, Mrs Davies held information session based on the forthcoming Multiplication Tables Check (MTC). 
    It was so great to see our parents come in and support this, and even attempt a test alongside their child!

  • Fire Awareness Day - Monday Feb 5th 2024

    Today's lesson  was lead by DWFRS Education Officer - Karen 

    Whole class lesson did a  variety of activities. Using skills used include teamwork, communication, listening, reasoning. Learning outcomes: importance of fire detection and escape, hazard awareness and making safe choices. Be Aware and Take Care.

     

    Then it was followed by a visit from the Swanage Fire Crew, where everyone got a chance to go in the Fire Engine and even have a go with their water hose!
