Fire! Fire!

Our Home Learning Project - A Tudor House

Sorting images to understand Past and Present London.

Our local fire and rescue team, Amanda, Rob, Matt and Keith came in today to help us learn how to prevent fire and how to keep ourselves safe in the event of a fire. We now know to Get Out! Stay Out! Call 999! We enjoyed exploring the fire engine, learning about the equipment that fire-fighters have today and compared this with the equipment used in 1666 during the Great Fire of London! We all agreed that putting the Great Fire out with a hose would have been safer and quicker.

Check out our artwork! We have used warm colours, brushes and sponges to create our backgrounds. Having looked carefully at the London skyline we used our own experiences and imagination to create a city skyline. We have enjoyed appreciating own own, and each others', work. We are all artists!
